Team Profile

Jurgen :-

Hailing from the land of Chocolate, Jurgen first came to India in 2004 looking to add some spice to his life. Backpacking through the country, he had no idea what was at the end of this path. After going pro in 2005, the PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) & SSI AOWI (Advanced Open Water Instructor) found his way to this diving paradise in 2006. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Jurgen gave the first breath of life to Scuba in 2011. First to reach and last to leave the dive shop, Jurgen oversees everything. Teaching from his heart, sharing his knowledge with confidence along with his failed attempts at humour, Jurgen shows us that “life is more than just a surface interval”.

Mandira :-

Mamma of 2 gorgeous kids, Mandira, is also the most favorite person of the Diveshop. PADI Rescue Diver, Yoga Instructor and an ardent fan of meditation, she is one of the happiest people around. She looks after the Dive travel to make sure you get the perfect holiday . She also oversees all the activities of the Diveshop along with Jurgen as his better half. An inspiration to all the women out there on how to manage career and house at the same time and being the best at both. Behind a successful Jurgen Has to be his Mandoo!

Aqaulung Technician, Scuba Pro Technician, Certified Bauer Technician, PADI Instructor and Dutch Passport holder with OCI status Remco is in charge of all operations of Scuba in Andaman Islands. He guarantees that the dive equipment is in perfect condition, you dive with “PURE AIR” and get the perfect diving experience. After traveling by road from Holland through Turkey, Iran and Pakistan he landed up in India and now lives with his daughter Malhar and wife Shruti on beautiful Havelock.

Jaidip :-

Our mountaineering leader’s monstrous appetite could not be quenched by the mountains alone. So, this Colgate poster boy signed up to be our first Zero-to-Hero (Never dived before) programme. One of our most hard-working Divemaster, JD went in early 2015 to Gili Islands and returned as a Certified PADI Instructor. He is Remco’s Right Hand man!

Kuldeep :-

“Diving is not Rice Plate eating!”,  “Diving is not childrens play, its Undertaker play!”. These are some of the quotes from Kuldeep. A self-proclaimed Course-Director and WWE-Superstar! After getting thrown out of the land-locked Agra for not shutting up, he does the world a favour by reducing the noise pollution while he is underwater. He looks after the Neil Dive Center.

Prashant :-

Now our shop just wouldn’t be the same without this record holding dive master with sun kissed locks. What record you ask? Well, he’s been introducing more people to the wonderous world of diving month on month than all the rest of us put together. His one liners may leave a bit (well a lot) to be desired but we blame that on his unhealthy obsession with potatoes. Having previously dived in Goa, Netrani and Port Blair, Prashant now calls Havelock home and has been a part of the Scuba family since early this year. Prashant turned PADI Instructor in July 2015.

Ram :-

“I love diving and I love divers” squeaks the shyest 32 year old we’ve ever seen. But don’t let this facade delude you, Ram devours 5 meals a day! Hes worked all of it off over the last 6 years of dive experience! With 2000+ fun dives, our PADI Divemaster and DSD Leader admits his love for Diving only comes second to his Wife and 5 yr-old son. Fluent in Hindi and Bengali, he’s beginning to pick up English quickly too!

Jyotish :-

Meet Jyotish – (fondly known as Guddu) Our ever smiling boat captain! This local from Havelock has 7 years of boat handling experience in these waters and is close to completing his first season with the Scuba family. Apart from knowing all the dive sites around Havelock and the Andamans Islands by the back of his hand, He’s definitely your go to man if you’re keen on exploratory dives. His easy charm and friendly demenour make him an instant hit with most, if not all of our customers. (We dare say, he’s giving most of our instructors a run for their money on the popularity scale). No trip on our boat the Whale Song is complete without at least a handful of anecdotes and clever fish spottings by this keen helmsman. Guddu is also an avid Scuba Diver, and is slowly and steadily making his way through the PADI certification courses with our crew here at Scuba
