Sail Rock
Diving at Sail Rock is like going to the opera. Scenes can get dramatic pretty fast as the big boys start swooping in to hunt. Schools of trevally, barracuda, tuna, snappers, red-tooth triggerfish, batfish swarm this site, as gigantic groupers lurk near rocky overhangs. The site itself is an imposing structure, which is just one big sloping rock that goes down to 20m. It also extends above the surface for a considerable height and supposedly looks like a sail, therefore the name. The site is mostly covered in encrusting type coral and has a lot of crevices for reef fish to hide. Mild to strong currents at this site not only bring pelagic predators to this site but also make for an exciting and challenging dive for advanced divers.
