Already completed your theory & skill training in a swimming pool? Finish your 4 dives with us during the PADI Open Water Referral!
Short on time but dreaming of diving into the deep blue? The PADI Open Water Referral lets you get a head start from home and finish your scuba certification on your own terms — and in warm tropical waters, not a cold city pool.
With the PADI Open Water Referral, you complete your theory online and confined water sessions in a local swimming pool before heading to the Andamans. When you arrive at ScubaLov, you’ll go straight into the good stuff — four incredible open water dives over just two days. It’s the perfect way to make the most of your island time while still earning your certification.
If you are already done with your confined pool sessions where you worked hard on your skills and buoyancy, and your instructor gives the green light, you do all four dives at some of the many stunning sites in the Andaman Islands. This course gives you the flexibility to ease into diving while still experiencing the thrill of swimming with the fish, like a fish.
The PADI Open Water Referral is ideal for travelers on a schedule, those easing into ocean diving, or anyone who wants to skip the classroom and get straight to the reef.
Why wait to dive into the fun part? Start your PADI Open Water Referral at home and finish your journey with ScubaLov. Book your spot now and make your certification count where it matters — underwater.
Assuming you have completed your theory and five confined water sessions, you will do your OW training dives 1 and 2 at Havelock’s best dive sites
You will go out on the boat again to complete OW dives 3 and 4 at spectacular off-shore sites.
Not sure what to expect? Read our full PADI Open Water Diver Course blog here — your complete guide before signing up. Trust us, your underwater adventure starts the moment you click.

If you don’t like reading a book (i.e., the PADI eManual), we offer the PADI eLearning, which is a convenient and flexible way to complete the knowledge development portion of PADI scuba diving courses online, at your own pace. This allows divers to learn the theory from anywhere with internet access and spend more time on the practical, in-water training during their diving trip.
When you sign up for PADI eLearning through ScubaLov, we offer you a discount of 6,000 INR on the PADI Open Water Course.
It depends on the medication and your health condition. Before diving, you’ll need to fill out a medical form. If you answer “yes” to any questions, you’ll need clearance from a doctor to ensure it’s safe for you to dive. Safety first!
If you have any pre-existing medical condition, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician. If you are above 50 years of age, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician even if you have no medical conditions. If you are under 50 years of age and have no medical conditions, you can sign a self-declaration.
Even if you’re a doctor, it’s recommended to have another medical professional sign your form. This ensures an unbiased evaluation of your fitness to dive and aligns with diving safety protocols.
We strongly advise that you check the PADI Medical Statement before signing up for a course and traveling to the Andaman. We will need to see a medical clearance in case of a pre-existing medical condition, or when you above 50 years of age, without it you cannot dive! On the island, you will not find a doctor who can assess your medical condition.
