PADI Emergency First Response: Learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid & assess a variety of injuries. Build confidence, save lives!
Emergencies don’t wait for the “right time.” They can happen anywhere—at home, on the road, or even underwater. That’s why the PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Course is one of the most empowering courses you’ll ever take. This one-day program gives you the confidence and skills to act fast and make a real difference when it matters most.
The PADI Emergency First Response course is designed for everyone—not just divers. You’ll learn how to manage medical emergencies with calm and clarity. From CPR (primary care) to first aid (secondary care), this course teaches you how to handle a wide range of real-world situations. It’s a required step for the PADI Divemaster course and pairs perfectly with the PADI Rescue Diver course—but it’s just as valuable for parents, teachers, travelers, or anyone wanting to be prepared.
You’ll walk away with the ability to support someone in distress until professional help arrives—whether it’s a deep cut, an allergic reaction, or a roadside accident. The PADI Emergency First Response course is about becoming the person others can rely on during a crisis.

This allows divers to learn the theory from anywhere with internet access and spend more time on the practical, in-water training during their diving trip.
When you sign up for PADI eLearning through ScubaLov, we offer you a discount of 3,000 INR on the PADI Emergency First Response Course.
It depends on the medication and your health condition. Before diving, you’ll need to fill out a medical form. If you answer “yes” to any questions, you’ll need clearance from a doctor to ensure it’s safe for you to dive. Safety first!
If you have any pre-existing medical condition, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician. If you are above 50 years of age, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician even if you have no medical conditions. If you are under 50 years of age and have no medical conditions, you can sign a self-declaration.
Even if you’re a doctor, it’s recommended to have another medical professional sign your form. This ensures an unbiased evaluation of your fitness to dive and aligns with diving safety protocols.
We strongly advise that you check the PADI Medical Statement before signing up for a course and traveling to the Andaman. We will need to see a medical clearance in case of a pre-existing medical condition, or when you above 50 years of age, without it you cannot dive! On the island, you will not find a doctor who can assess your medical condition.
