Guided Fun Dives for Certified Divers

Already certified? Fun dives at the best sites in Havelock & Neil. 3 custom-built boats & trips tailored to all levels! Book fun diving!

Certified and craving adventure? The Andaman Sea is calling. With vast, uncrowded dive sites ranging from coral gardens to deep reef walls, fun dives with ScubaLov are anything but ordinary. Whether you’re an Open Water diver or hold advanced or specialty certifications, there’s a perfect site waiting for you—bursting with life and surprises.

From massive groupers and Napoleon wrasse to reef sharks, rays, and elusive macro critters, every dive brings a new encounter. Even the same site can feel entirely different depending on the time of day or ocean mood. And the best part? Our expert dive professionals guide every dive, making sure you get the most out of every descent.

Havelock Island is home to iconic fun dive sites like Johnny’s Gorge, Dixon’s Pinnacle, and The Wall. These deeper, dynamic sites are ideal for Deep Diver and Enriched Air Nitrox certified divers looking to extend bottom time and explore new depths. Our spacious, fully equipped boats get you there comfortably and safely.

Neil Island offers untouched reef systems with vibrant marine life and fewer crowds. Sites like Bus Stop and Junction are perfect for those who enjoy peaceful, scenic fun dives with bursts of color and critter action—great for both wide-angle and macro enthusiasts.

Each day of fun diving includes two guided boat dives, curated to your skill level and interests. Ready to dive into something unforgettable? Let’s go explore.

Our Fun Dive Essential and Equipment Maintenance

We are an Aqualung partner center and dive with Aqualung Calypso regulators, BCDs, masks, snorkels, open-heel fins and wetsuits (3mm). The gauges are in metric units (Bar and meters). We use 80 cu ft aluminum cylinders from Luxfer with INT fitting that are filled by our Bauer certified compressors. We maintain our equipment with great care to ensure proper functioning and our staff dives with computers to ensure Nitrogen load safety on your guided dive!

Our Approach to Guided Fun Dives : Safety First – The Perfect Companion with ScubaLov

Our guided dives are conducted in a ratio of four certified divers to one dive leader and last for one hour or 50 bar, whichever comes first. While we try to match people in ability, experience and air consumption, we do expect you to follow safe diving practices. Remember to dive with a buddy, dive within your limits of training and ability, no deco diving or diving deeper than 30 meters, slowly ascend from every dive, make a safety stop when required, plan your dive with your dive leader and dive your plan. Above all we want you to stay well hydrated so there will be plenty of water on the boat. Happy diving!

What is next?

As an Open Water Diver, we always encourage you to sign up for the PADI Advanced Open Water Course to go to the deeper sites like Johnny’s Gorge and Dixon’s Pinnacles. For longer dives at the premium sites the PADI Enriched Air Nitrox Certification is the best solution–it’s a quick fix to witness the wonders of the ocean at depth. If diving deep is your passion then sign up for the PADI Deep Diver Course, where you will do the course dives at the best dive sites around!

The sun rises early in the Andamans—around 5:30 AM—even though we follow Indian Standard Time, and thus, our biological clocks are set for Thailand. Depending on the tides, weather, and sea conditions, we usually head out early in the morning for two fun dives before returning to the dive shop. A third dive can be added upon request. On certain days, we also offer later dive trips based on conditions and availability.

Ready for your fun dives and need a quick reminder what diving is all about? Check out our blog posts on breathing, buoyancy, and least effort to become the perfect fun diver and make the best of your underwater adventure!

Important: If it has been more than 6 months since you last dived, we advise you to undertake a ‘Refresher or ReActivate’ course to revisit standard scuba diving skills and safety procedures. It’s important we know you as a diver before taking you on our exciting dive trips. Please read the PADI Medical Statement instructions before signing up as we need a self or doctor’s declaration that you are fit to dive!

PADI ReActivate

ReActivate is the engaging, efficient way to refresh your dive knowledge and scuba skills. Move quickly through topics you know well, dive deeper on topics where your knowledge may have lapsed.

When you sign up for PADI ReActivate through ScubaLov, we offer your refresher dive free of charge!

I use prescription medication. Can I dive?

It depends on the medication and your health condition. Before diving, you’ll need to fill out a medical form. If you answer “yes” to any questions, you’ll need clearance from a doctor to ensure it’s safe for you to dive. Safety first!

When do I need to get a medical clearance from my doctor?

If you have any pre-existing medical condition, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician. If you are above 50 years of age, you will need a medical clearance from your doctor/physician even if you have no medical conditions. If you are under 50 years of age and have no medical conditions, you can sign a self-declaration.

I am a doctor. Can I sign my own medical form?

Even if you’re a doctor, it’s recommended to have another medical professional sign your form. This ensures an unbiased evaluation of your fitness to dive and aligns with diving safety protocols.

Is it really necessary to check the PADI Medical Form?

We strongly advise that you check the PADI Medical Statement before signing up for a course and traveling to the Andaman. We will need to see a medical clearance in case of a pre-existing medical condition, or when you above 50 years of age,  without it you cannot dive! On the island, you will not find a doctor who can assess your medical condition.

When is a good time to visit the Andaman Islands?

The best time to visit the Andaman Islands for scuba diving is October to May, when the weather is sunny, the seas are calm, and the underwater world is at its vibrant best.

Best Diving Months: October to May
October-November: The islands are fresh after the monsoon with lush greenery and calm waters. It’s a quieter time with excellent diving conditions.
December-February: Peak diving season with cool, pleasant weather and superb underwater visibility. Be mindful of occasional cyclones in December.
March-May: As summer begins, the water is at its clearest, ideal for spotting marine life. Dive sites are less crowded, and conditions are warm and inviting.

Monsoon Season: June to September
Monsoons bring heavy rains, rough seas, and limited diving opportunities. Strong currents and low visibility make this period less suitable for diving.

Pro Tip: Book your dive trips early during peak season to secure spots, and always check weather forecasts if visiting in December. Whether you’re exploring colorful reefs, spotting sharks, or enjoying serene beaches, the Andaman Islands promise an unforgettable diving adventure!

Can I visit the Andaman Islands during Monsoon Season (June, July, August)?

Visiting the Andaman Islands during June, July, and August offers a peaceful escape but comes with challenges for scuba diving. Monsoon rains bring lush greenery and fewer tourists, making it a quiet and budget-friendly time to visit. However, rough seas and reduced underwater visibility can limit diving opportunities. Many dive centers operate on a restricted schedule or close entirely, so it’s essential to check their availability in advance.
If diving conditions aren’t ideal, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Explore land based activities with Earthsong in Havelock Island for a meditative journey within nature. Short treks and nature walks are possible during dry spells, offering a chance to soak in the island’s rainy-season beauty.
For the best scuba diving experience, plan your trip between October and May, when the weather is calmer and dive sites are fully accessible. However, if you’re looking for tranquility and don’t mind adapting to the rains, the Andamans in monsoon still have their own charm. Be sure to pack for rainy weather and stay updated on forecasts to make the most of your trip.

How long do I need to wait to fly after diving?

You need to wait for at least 12 hours before you can fly after a single dive and at least 18 hours after multiple dives.

How deep can I dive?

Your diving depth depends on your certification level. If you have signed up for Discover Scuba Dive, the maximum depth you dive to will be 12 metres (40 feet). Open Water Certified Divers can dive to 18 metres, while Advanced Open Water Certified Divers can go up to 30 metres. Only divers certified with Deep Speciality can dive up to 40 metres, which is the depth limit of recreational diving.
